Sound coming out at specific times

For some reason, my computer makes a sound, every hour, with random start times (meaning on Sunday, it can make a sound every hour at minute 38, and on Monday at minute 25, and so on).
I tired shutting down many of my task bar software, to no avail.
Also, I tried reading info from PROCESS MONITOR, but so many software run almost on a nanosecond basis 0 I got lost.
How can I find out WHAT makes the noise?

I am not sure if it will help, but this Microsoft article may shed some light on this matter.

    Best wishes,

Off-topic, but (I think) amusing mystery beep story.

I was working at my pc recently when I heard 2 beeps. These beeps happened exactly every 1 minute. I wasn't sure if it was coming from my pc or someplace else.

There's a bit of new hardware in my gaff - just had some smoke detectors fitted, plus a kitchen heat detector and a CO monitor in the lounge. These were all linked to a test button thing on the wall. I'd also been upgraded to FTTP internet which came with a free VOIP phone plus some new router + modem box stuff.

Working on the principle that it was new hardware making the beeps, I went from room to room, shutting doors and staring at the new objects listening for the beeps. I just couldn't locate the source.

Whilst I'm wandering round my flat I noticed the cable guy had left a bag of rubbish, so I picked it up to put it in the trash. I heard more beeps - they seemed to be coming from the bag. I emptied the bag on the floor - the beeps got louder !

In the trash was my old analog wireless phone. I picked it up and noticed 'low battery' warning on the screen. At this moment the phone beeped ! The darned thing had been out of its cradle for 2-3 days causing the battery to run down and make a warning beep.

Son of a diddly, as Ned Flanders would say.
