cant get headphones working on win 10-help!

    hey.
i just bought new phones and they work on other devices but not on my PC.and they dont work with the display i use with the PC.i cant even get windows to detect them,in any of the jacks.also, when testing other headphones on the same PC,they wont work either.they did a few months ago, tho.another thing that might be important is that i had some weird issues with a mic a few weeks ago.its fine now.
im usually updated on all drivers etc, windows 10 pro 21H2,build 19044.1466.

let me know and il upload any relevant info/logs.
thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello @ddmeltzer8,

    As a start.

[1] Have you tried the Manufacturers website to see if there is a designated [ Specific ] Driver for them?
[2] Have you run a Windows Update for Drivers?
    [3] Have you tried the following? . . .

Run the Hardware troubleshooter. This checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device[s] or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly.

    [1] Goto Control Panel.
[2] Type Troubleshooting in the search box.
[3] Click on Hardware and Sound under Troubleshoot computer problems.
[4] Click on Hardware and Devices under Devices.
[5] Click on Advanced on the Hardware and Devices dialog box, select Run as administrator.
[6] Click Next [ follow on screen instructions to complete the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter ].
    [7] Try the device again.

Also, I found this which might be useful => Win 10 Home & Bluetooth Headphones

    I hope this helps.

dont know what changed but now i can hear the "test" in sound settings, but i cant get it to output anything other than that test.
i did everything in the other post but still no output to headphones, except that test.isnt there any logs or someting that can tell us something useful?
    thanks,

    How very strange.
