Realtek HD Audio constantly stops working on Dell XPS 7590
Hi Everyone,
I have bought Dell XPS 7590 some time ago and never ever had a laptop with so many problems (motherboard got replaced, keyboard got replaced, charing socket gets loose, won't sleep after closing the lid, MaxxAudiopro sound is not available for Linux and sounds terrible without it, thermal throttles etc.. probably will never buy a dell again, their premium support is terrible as well, their engineer who was replacing motherboard told me that every 4th laptop has issues, and this is for a laptop that cost me £1,500 when I bought it). Most of them I managed to live with but disappearing sound after leaving my computer unattended for 5-10 minutes, or if it goes to sleep still drives me bonkers.
I have updated the drivers multiple times but that never fixed the issue. Here is my Windows info:
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 21H2
Installed on 19/11/2021
OS build 19044.1415
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0
Realtek Audio Driver Version: 6.0.9132.1
If I go to Sounds->Playback->Speakers (Realtek Audio) Properties->Advanced and toggle Signal Enhancements and apply the settings sometimes it brings back the sound to the system but not always, in some cases the only way to bring it back is to do a restart.
This problem persisted even after the motherboard update and until now there is nothing I was able to do to improve this situation even a bit.
If I go to MaxxAudioPro application and click on sound test it works always, but it doesn't work for any other application in windows, including the sound test of windows sound settings which does lead me to believe that its more of the driver problem rather than the hardware itself, or maybe I am wrong and its both.
Please help me if you can to make it at least a bit usable.
Thank you for reading this long message.
