Low volume in new laptop by driver mess maybe

I got a new laptop and installed a clean W10 .iso in it but the sound didnīt work so I tried some Realtek drivers and one works but the volume is very low despite all the usual tricks.

I got all the drivers from the maker site but I don't know which one is the sound one. I tried to install some and my laptop crashed BSOD and had to restart on safe mode because it didn't start anymore.

    So I have two questions:

    1. Are there any volume boosters that work out there?

    2. How can I know which of the 43 drivers downloaded from the maker site is the one for the sound?

    Thanks

    Hey

Yes i totally agree with you that the whole audio choices and not knowing which one is the best, can screw your system up.
You need to find out if your CPU has built in Audio chip within the cpu. Alot of Intels do.

After your fresh install of Windows, i would change or stop Windows automatically downloading device drivers from Windows updates. You only have to give a fresh install just 30 seconds online, and it will have self installed some crap, files from somewhere as the default driver installation is from 'Anywhere' ?!? and no security, which i find pushing you around abit, and gets on my nerves. Default should be Nowhere and always ask admin for authorization.

Its probably best to spend some time setting up the OS once installed before you go online.
Another way you could try it now whilst online, is put the ISO setup back in the machine and reload it over the top of your current setup whilst online like, and it should download all the updates and drivers before the setup continues to reinstall. I actually like this option.
This is something ive just tried in the past as i was bored and it worked out pretty clean after setup, not needing any device drivers. Then observe what has been installed.

Okies if you think you have screwed the drivers up, goto Device manager and show hidden devices, then look down your Audio outputs and see what you can find that is greyed out and not being used. If you wish, you can uninstall these old driver/hardware setups and they wont be current and basically dead.

    1. Green Circled audio output i would use the Realtek onboard sound.
    2. HDMI to TV, I would the Realtek again as this should recognise your TV or Monitor and you will get full Enhancements.
    3. VGA output, which actually does support audio (MIDI), I would use the Realtek again and the Green Circled output connection and 'Speakers' output again.
    4. SPDIF (Optical) Which is basically a bloody wire which needs to loop with an 'out' and an 'in' back to the system, which might not even be available on your lappy.
    5. Coaxial (Digital Phono), again, like SPDIF, has a out and return and only any good if supported both ends.

Try and avoid CPU Audio as this will be another HDMI audio driver, which leaves fragmented driver files hanging around.

Have a play about in the device manager, whilst connecting, unconnecting HDMI, see what she defaults to.

Sorry i cant be more help.
