Hello, something that has helped me a few times is the sound trouble-shooter. Right click on the speaker in the tray, bottom option is troubleshoot sound problems. It will load a list of sound devices, hopefully your new card will show in there. Select it and follow through.

If your card does not show up in the list, then there are further trouble-shooters in Control Panel. It would be hardware and that stage.

I'm not too sure what to try next, assume you have looked in Device Manager to see if it shows up anywhere. I assume you have used the correct driver. I had a Bluetooth driver issue, Bluetooth worked, as long as the device was already paired, but I had no Bluetooth options, pc said there was none. That was a driver issue, MS downloaded a driver, not the correct one, I had to find it online.

TidySean, Thank you, I will try every thing you mentioned, as soon as I get another sound card, the one I got seems to be defective and they are replacing it, take probably this time next week to get it. Talk about Murphy's Law? Will get back to you ASAP!!!
