No Audio Control Application in Dell Precision 3560
I recently retired (i.e. returned to the company I work for), my hp Probook 650 G5, due to faulty fan (or something else that created an unbearable noise) and for the first time I got a Dell laptop. The workstation Precision 3560.
Quite a beast, with Intel Core i7-1165G7 and a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, along with an Nvidia T500 graphics card.
I clean installed Windows 10 Pro, to get rid of the usual -as hp- Dell bloatware.
Impressively, all drivers were installed by Windows Update, including the Audio drivers (DCH/UAD).
Trying to see what audio driver was installed, I noticed that the Realtek Hardware Support Application Software Component was not installed and consequently neither did the corresponding Realtek Audio Control application.
So I reverted back to the Dell image I had saved, prior to clean installing, to notice that the same was also true on the factory installed Windows 10.
Running my PS script, I got the same result
I downloaded the latest driver from Dell (6.0.9247.1) and installed it. Same thing. No Realtek Hardware Support Application Software Component and no Realtek Audio Control application.Code:Audio Device INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0236&SUBSYS_10280A22 is controlled by a DCH Driver. Tried to download and install the Realtek Audio Control application from the Microsoft Store, but fails with error 0x803FB005.
I also force installed (using pnputil) the Realtek Hardware Support Application Software Component, but it wasn't recognized as such and the Microsoft Store app keeps failing with the same error!!!
Any ideas, what can be done?
And why the Dell provided driver doesn't install the Realtek Hardware Support Application Software Component?
Since I'm a newbie with Dell computers, is this normal for a Dell Precision (Workstation) laptop?
