Issue with new Samsung Galaxy Book audio

This is for a friend and I do not have ready access to his laptop other than through remote control when available.
He has Trust Almo 2 speakers connected to the audio port on the laptop, he can get the audio to play through the speakers when using Skype but when trying to play YouTube or Vimeo videos using Edge or Chrome the audio is played through the laptop speakers and not through the Almo speakers even though the speakers are connected to the audio port. There is obviously nothing wrong with the sound as Skype plays audio.
What settings need to be set so that the browsers can play audio when playing YouTube videos?

    Hello @scopio,

I have noticed that you have NOT had ANY replies, so I thought that I would try and help.

It sounds like a configuration problem.

[1] Have you tried right-clicking the Sound Icon and going through the Settings?

[2] You could try running the Troubleshooter . . .

    • Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Playing Audio

[3] You could also look at the manufacturers manual, usually a PDF, to see if that is of ANY help.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks @Paul Black for your suggestions.

I have tried the trouble-shooter which did not report any faults.
It is a setting that needs to be set but as I said it is not my laptop and can only access it through TeamViewer.
