Windows media playlist(wpl) on computer to usb

so I can copy playlists between D:\Utilities\Music\Playlists on all my computers without having to change them at all.

Do I need to reset my default location for playlist? my default playlist is C:\Users\User\Music, w/o looking at The laptop It's C:\administrator\users\music.

My default for music would be C:\CD Collection mp3 on my pc, and also win 10 laptop.

You Have your music in D:\Utilities\Music and your playlist as a subfolder.

Do I need to create the playlist under C:\CD Collection mp3 or is it going to recognize C:\Users\User\Music\Playlists and the laptop at C:\administrator\users\music\playlist, even if the music is on C:\CD Collection mp3 on both computers?

Hello, I've just had a look and might have a solution. It involves DVDs. I just made a playlist of a few tracks from a few different albums. Added them to the burn list. You can select all playlists and drag and drop at once, size depending. Used a DVD and burnt it. In burn settings, data disk is set to WPL and the box checked for Use media information to arrange files in folders on the disc. I guess you could uncheck that and all the files will be in one folder. Now I have a DVD with the tracks selected but in artist and album folders in their original MP3 format. You could then do what you want with that, probably work in your car stereo as is (some need all files in root, cannot browse folders), copy the files to USB and so on. You might be able to emulate a DVD drive to prevent the need for a DVD.

On another note, I used to be able to drag and drop from WMP, can't anymore. I am not sure what happened there.

I see what you're saying, then I'm left with a cd with a Playlist with 150+ albums and 1200+ songs, but no actual music folder, Then what?
