What would be the way to turn up the system sound?

My highest volume on Windows Media Player is still too low.

    Hi, are you using
    - a laptop and its internal speakers
    - external speakers
    - headphones
    - something else?

What is the original sound source? CD? Files on disk? Something else?

Are other sound levels e.g. from Youtube, say, acceptable?

If you have set the volume to 100% and checked the Voume Mixer levels

and the appropriate slider is at 100%
and the volume control in Windows Media Player is at max

    then

you can use PC Equaliser (free) to further increase the sound level.

Either use the equaliser sliders or the one on the right.

This is a two part download and installation- the APO equaliser and the simpler GUI.

Since My Computer shows a Laptop/Notebook can it be assumed the hardware setting is at maximum? Usually the Fn key plus another key controls that then the Windows settings can be used to tone it down or up. My Dell Inspiron 15R I'm on while out of town uses the Fn + F11 or F12 and another key for the purpose, some will use just one key for each of the functions as UP, Down or Muted. The key combinations to use have a mark in the same color as for the Fn key.
