Logitech Z407 speaker - standby mode?

I recently bought a new set of speakers for my desktop. I ended up getting the Logitech Z407.
I have noticed that when i'm not playing any sounds for a while, the speakers seem to go into energy saver/standby mode. When i then need sound it takes a second or two before the sound starts (i.e. the speakers need to wake up).

Example: I surf the web reading stuff, then go to see a video: the video starts right away but the sound takes a second or two before it starts.

My old speakers (10+ years old) were allways on and played sound instantly when required.

I wrote Logitech support but the answer was weird - something about the volume wheel clicking. I tried to explain that i didn't touch the wheel, but they insisted that it was the volume wheel.

TL;DR: Do newer logitech speakers enter standby mode when no sounds are playing?

I don't have these type of speakers, but I'll try to help a bit anyway.

My first question was: How is it connected? Bluetooth, micro-USB or 3,5mm? Can you post the exact answer of Logitech?
But I think if found the question here. Z407 Standby, Dan Munch, sept 2021. The answer seems to be to a different question indeed.

The 'hockey puck' seems to be wireless regardless, with two AAA batteries. As they are supposed to last 12 months, it seems likely they had to implemented some sort of sleep mode for this puck to make this possible (although I'm not sure how much power this puck would use otherwise). My bluetooth mouse also has a few seconds wakup time to save battery. As for the rest of the system, i don't see any off button, so it would make sense to go into sleep after a time. It would also make sense for this to be a setting somewhere, but I haven't found that yet.

There was a similar issue described on reddit by justinrcary: logitech_z407_speakers_auto_shut_off

Michael Aulia from cravingtech states in his Z407 review: "What I don’t really like about the Logitech Z407 is that it auto turns off by itself when it hasn’t received an audio feed for quite some time. This means that it may take a few seconds (sometimes 20-30 seconds) before the speakers wake up from its slumber (or force them on beforehand by using the wireless control)." And under CONS: "Speakers go to sleep after some time and you can’t turn this setting off"
