I notice I have an app for Maxx audio and not sure why.
I have a problem with my itunes audio on my dell desk top with windows 10
I'm wondering can I? should I? and will it cause me other problems if I just uninstall it??
It is an app that is installed and managed by some sound card drivers.
I also have it on a Dell.
You can normally ignore it.
I have never tried deleting it. Reinstalling your sound card driver should reinstall it.
Personally, I would make a new system image before changing anything in audio drivers.

Waves MaxxAudio (and MaxxAudio Pro) work in conjunction with the Dell model specific sound driver. MaxxAudio is used for sound jack device detection and some enhancements. You need the Dell specific model sound driver and MaxxAudio for sound and sound features to work (or work properly).

You do know that you can go to Dell support to check for updated Bios & drivers?

Enter your Dell Service tag [that uniquely identifies your computer so that the Bios & drivers shown are specifically for the hardware that your computer contained when Dell sent it],

If you have the Dell Support Assist you can run that and it will check (and allow installation) of any updated drivers. One caution, DO NOT install a BIOS update with Support Assist, only manually download and install. We have seen "bricked" computers (enough to warrant a warning) with Support Assist BIOS updates.

Thanks for the heads up. I used the Support Assistant to update the BIOS on a brand new Dell lappy about 6 months and it failed. Fortunately it was able to recovered itself from the backup copy. Since then I do a manual download and update. An Alienware R11, about a year old, does successfully update using Support Assistant. Sadly that Alienware Control Center is a piece of junk that causes endless software updates and crashes every time it starts up. FYI, I’ve disabled it and the PC runs flawlessly now.
