    Thank you.

There are various freeware driver backup tools around you can use. Just search for one.

There are also 5 options in that tutorial to try if you wish.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I used Driver backup! , backed up and restored drivers but nothingchanged . I have to add that devices visible in device manager in win 7 are not present in win 10. I'm starting to loose my hope

Unfortunately going 'out of spec' and updating old PCs to Win10 may carry risk and means it becomes your responsibility to try to resolve these problems, if feasible.

For example, it may be that an old PC runs one build of Win 10 well, but upgrading to the next with a new set of drivers may mean some loss of function or a problem such as audio stutter or slow booting.

You could even try an older build of Win 10...

Your problem might rest with a lower level driver, for example.

Have a look at others with similar devices for clues. E.g.

Found a solution !!! ASUS U31SD laptop has updated the BIOS to the latest version. In the BIOS settings there is "Play POST Sound" (plays a melody at boot), set the value to "YES". UEFI is enabled! - the system is excellently placed !!! Is there sound !!! All drivers are found, devices are all included !!!

THIS!! This is the solution, thank you man for your time and patientce I'm very gratefull. It works great!

For people who experience something similar here is a solution: You need to go to your BIOS menu (in my case on Asus its pressing F2 and select yes next to "Play POST Sound" . Below is a screenshot"

And thats it :) after you turn on computer sound works just fine. Please if you can make this post visible for others that may encounter same problem.

    Key issue was:
    No soundcard detected
    No sound device
    Code 10 error
    Realtek HD Audio missing

    My laptop ASUS K73SV.

Thanks again, Im marking this as resolved.

Now you have your Win 10 installed, do start creating disk images so if something goes wrong - corruption, theft, ransomware, disk failure... you have a complete backup and can recover readily. E.g. Macrium reflect (free) + large enough external storage.

If you still have Windows 7 on your hard drive just clone it to your SSD again. Then just stop and be happy with Windows 7. At least your computer will boot faster with an SSD.
