    Laptop Audio crackling

Hello, my Laptop Audio is crackling whenever I set volume to over 35 or 100, at first I don't think it had this problem, but speaker has started crackling, will speakers get damaged? Now what?

    First, lets try these . . .

[1] Have a look in Device Manager to see if there are ANY Yellow Triangles . . .

    > Win Logo + X > Device Manager

    [2] Run the Audio Troubleshooter . . .

    > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Playing Audio

    I hope this helps.

Please confirm you are referring to the internal laptop speakers. Do both crackle, or only one?

Do you hear any cracking if you use headphones?

What is your Windows build? (The forum prompted you for this).

What is the make and model of your laptop? About how old is it?

Do you know when this started happening?

    Hello @Takeshi18,

As mentioned by @dalchina, please perform the following . . .

System Specifications – To go in your Profile

Please update your system specifications [ System AND Hardware ] by editing your profile. It will allow us to give you more Specific Advice and Help! . . .

    > How to Fill in your System Specs at Ten Forums.

To make this process easier for you, there is an Automated method that you can use by clicking the Download button at the top of the Tutorial. It contains a standalone .exe file delivered in a .zip file. You just need to Unzip the file and Run SystemInfo.exe. Please note that this file does NOT save ANYTHING to your computer.

You might also find this Tutorial useful . . .

    > Collecting System Specifications in Windows

    • Please include Case, Cooler, HDD, PSU, SSD, etc.
    • Include ANY Peripherals attached to the computer, both wired or wireless [ Headset, Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Scanner, Speakers, USB, Wireless Network Card, xBox, etc].

    Thanks.
