Why is AMD Radeon in my desktop context menu ?

    If it's gone, there's no need to use Autoruns except to discover what it's about.

    If you look at the section headers, in this case you are looking only for those section headers mentioning contextmenuhandlers - I've highlighted two:

    Search for e.g.
    how do you use autoruns

    and you will find plenty of guides. E.g.
    Use Autoruns to Manage StartUp Applications in Windows

    - tells you what the colours mean.

    Thanks again dalchina.

    Well, the one I disabled in shellexview is listed at line 233 of my Excel under ContextMenuHamdlers.

    So surely that is the reason for the disappearance ?

    HKLM\Software\Classes\Directory\Background\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers
    ACE Radeon Software: Desktop Control Panel Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.


    P.S. Does dal stand for Dalian by any chance ? We have been there on a cruise in 2010.

    No, no relationship.. I was just providing you information about Autoruns as you wanted to know about the colours, e.g.

    If you want to remove AMD Radeon from the context menu by following the instructions found here. I have done it and it works, but when you update the Radeon software it will reappear on the context menu so you will have the instuctionsagain to remove it.
