Hi, please download LatencyMon (free) and run a scan and post a screenshot of its GUI.

Driver-related latency may or may not be the cause- if it is, diagnosis is hard.
have all the latest updates for my motherboard
    - how have you been updating other than using Windows Update?

Note that latency issues are sometimes resolved by using an appropriate OLDER driver. More problems seem to be caused by people striving to update drivers than are solved.

    You can see what happens
    a. after a clean boot
    b. if it runs in Safe Mode, then in Safe Mode
    - i.e. is that Windows or 3rd party program-related.

On my 21H1 build it opens quickly after a UAC prompt. Do you see a UAC prompt?

You're welcome... if it stays that way you're lucky!

I do think you should run LatencyMon anyway just to establish confidence.. it's quick and easy.

    hi

i turned off freesync since this monitor is not gsync validated so that might have played a factor in this
