not always.

sometimes installing such latest drivers can do the opposite and cause/degrade performance on some systems

I don't know if anyone else has/had the same issue. I rolled back to the previous version, 6.0.9629, because ever since I updated to the version I posted above in my quote, my volume kept lowering and raising automatically. This never happened to me until now and I tried all the fixes suggested on various websites. In fact, I already had all the options, etc set to what is suggested. I'm going to presume that it is the version above that is the problem.

I have again issues with latest 2379 driver> microphone too low...

6.0.9638.1 & 6.0.9642.1 UAD (all OEMs) driver versions recently available from MUC (both almost released nearly the same time; just a few hours apart)

the older 6.0.9632.1 all oem driver did get released on MUC in late March but by the time this came out, 6.0.9635.1 & newer versions were already available from ms earlier this March

can you try versions 6.0.9632.1, 6.0.9638.1 & 6.0.9642.1 to see if you encounter the problem as you experienced in 6.0.9635.1, asturias?

there is a known problem with the 6.0.96xx series of Drivers on Gigabyte INTEL boards, both of mine, including a Z590 and a Z790, but Erpster has helped me and Stigg in another Thread pointing out that 6.0.9567.1 works....... see over here :
