    the latest Realtek Audio Console for (6.0.9581.1 UAD) has it!

    fyi, the last and latest Nahimic driver is 6.0.8967.1 HDA
    I don't do UAD, until I absolutely have to some day. It means I would have no "Effects Tab" unless I also install all that Nahimic trash to restore (read: Hijack) effects, and I will not! The older HDA drivers come with the control panel (no Store required), Effects (no 3rd party junk), and sometimes the front/rear separate devices, which is still not restored even with the 3rd party apps.

    EDIT: Also, without the "front/rear as separate devices" options, when plugging in the headphones, it does not use the "headphone amp" and barely drives them so they are too quiet.

    If ever the old HDA drivers are not viable for me, I'll just install my Xonar SE sound card, or my Focusrite 2i4 for audio.

    Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [3]-realtek-uad-audio-console-gigabyte-advancedsettings-alc892-2023-.png

    I have BOTH advanced recording & playback options available in Realtek HD Audio Manager and Realtek Audio Console on my custom built PC with a Gigabyte board using Realtek ALC892 and the hardware device ID assigned to it is "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182&REV_1003"

    HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182" is supported by both HDA FFxx and UAD/DCH drivers

    does NOT matter whether I use HDA FFxx or UAD/DCH based Realtek audio drivers (also does NOT matter if using old versions or new versions) - both Recording Device and Playback Device advanced options appear
    {at least both options appear based on the Realtek audio chipset and hardware ID assigned to the Realtek audio device}

    I'm not throwing away that Gigabyte board and replacing it with a new one if newer boards with newer realtek audio chipsets can't provide the advanced config options that I have on the existing Gigabyte board.
    heh, let's see if the Realtek audio drivers (whether HDA or UAD) can provide both of these options for other Realtek audio chipsets like ALC1150/ALC1200/ALC1200 or even ALC897

    and MoKiChU has just revised the 6.0.9585.1 asus driver packages with updated Realtek Service SoftwareComponent Driver {most likely updated from 1.0.652.0 to 1.0.653.0}

    that's because Hewlett-Packard recently matched the 6.0.9585.1 MSI version with a 6.0.9585.1 version of their own which has Realtek Service SoftwareComponent 1.0.653.0 Driver instead of 1.0.652.0

    MSI MAG B550M MORTAR WIFI has the ALC1220. either of the HDA or UAD driver has that option.

    installed 6.0.9590.1 UAD and Realtek Audio Console 1.47.309.0. 6.0.9273.1 still sounds better, crisper and deeper!

    I can tell you one certain thing, you can update 1000 more uad drivers in the future and you will still prefer 9273.

    I posted the sticky tutorial on this forum 3 years ago, Realtek has released approx 1 uad driver per week on MUC. You can tell by how busy this thread is (and this is the 3rd thread). So most of us on this forum literally has updated over 150 uad drivers and none of us have heard any difference. Which means that this is how it supposed to sound.

    1) Sound is subjective. More bass means more bass. Nothing to do with better or worse.
    2) HDA drivers often relied on stuff that Realtek put on in the registry turning on and off stuff without giving you a GUI.

    The simplest explanation is often the best one. So the best explanation is that there is a hidden registry turning on some kind of EQ or whatever in the HDA drivers. The UAD doesn't use those registry values so those things didn't get turn on.

    So it doesn't matter how many uad drivers you are going to try in the future, you will always prefer the HDA one.
