    HD Realtek

Hi, I have Asus laptop running the legacy HDA audio version 6....0.1.8619. As I like the classic Realtek Audio Manager, I remember I struggled to find a suitable driver > 6...8619. Now I need to upgrade from 8619 again but every driver I install gets that ICEsound stuff loaded on my system (that audiowizard thing instead of Sound Effects tab in manager...) .

So I see I have two options:

    1) Find the one driver I know that has fixed the 8619 sudden "pops", and didn't come bundled with ICE stuff. or...
    2) Install some HDA recent driver like 9239 version and find a way to get rid of ICE, by deleting registry entries, files etc.

But I'm really stuck trying to do that. Please help
I'm using the 6.0.1.6793 on my win10 PC. Having this version all the way back before I got the w10. I dont facing any
    problems, drivers working fine..

    check this (from 2019) https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...x?q=6.0.1.8619

I cant find any other driver that you can use. You having sound problems at the same driver you're using ?

    Using old drivers is stupid.

All realtek drivers before 6.0.9151.1 is vulnerable to this security vulnerability.

    NVD - CVE-2021-32537

If you want an EQ, go and download Equalizer APO.

    thanks for your input!

yesterday, after a long time searching, I managed to find a suitable driver that doesn't have the popping issue I was having with 8619, and doesn't come with ICE... -> 6.0.1.7982

Update: The site mislabeled this. It is not HDA.

Is the 9468 (HDA) on Necacom the full thing? It's pretty large, but the app directory (Win64) looks like it's missing much of what 9273's (the previous HDA version) had. I'm guessing that this means that it excludes the tray app or it's very different now.

Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) Version 6.0.9468.1 WHQL
    that 9468 driver is a UAD/DCH driver, not a standard/unified/legacy HDA (non-UAD) driver that comes with the old Realtek HD Audio Manager app, rseiler. {realtek hd audio manager uses either the RAVCpl64.exe or RtkNGUI64.exe file; those don't exist for that version}
need Realtek Audio Console (aka Realtek Audio Control uwp app from MS store) to use that 9468 UAD version.

the last HDA driver version is still 6.0.9273.1

    you're welcome.

but MSI has full versions of the 6.0.9475.1, 6.0.9481.1 & recently released 6.0.9492.1 Realtek UAD driver versions from their web site.

download & install any one of those driver versions from the MSI web site, Michel86.
btw, there are at least 2 versions of "MSI Crosshair 15" laptops; one with 11th gen Intel & the other w/ 12th gen Intel cpus (ex. B12U). the recently released Crosshair 15 C12V models have a 6.0.9481.1 driver listed for win11 but the 9481 driver can also work for other Crosshair 15 models as well (not limited to just the 12th gen intel cpus - might also work with ones with 11th gen Intel cpus too) and on win10.
