Guys could someone please help me?
I am updating the Audio Components via the MUC but I noticed there are multiple entries with the same version and same hardware ids but different update ids. For example, the Realtek Software Component 12.106.1087.103 shows 2 entries with different update id's
- d3e7290a-b5c2-4a0d-88c4-37bd42d03fe5
- 43d1d102-1930-47f2-8c49-76daa38ee170
How can I know which update id I need for my Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 motherboard?
no Kbird!
MokiChu no longer makes laptop based asus drivers anymore as he said so himself months ago and has said so again several days ago here as some other users asked about that.
what kind of Asus laptop are you using, Kbird? just go to the Asus support site and download & install the latest available realtek audio driver for that laptop.I don't offer audio drivers packages for notebooks/laptops in order to focus on my field : DIY PC/Motherboards (hence the fact that my threads are in DIY Builds and Motherboards category).
Hi EP, I have the G732LWS 17" but Asus has not updated Drivers since 2020 , they were "outdated when I got the laptop I think :) it's still back on 8981.1 on their Site, so I had used Moki's Driver revisions for the last few years but am admittedly "out of the loop " these days since I am still on Win10 even though the Laptop can use Win11, so I haven't let it upgrade me yet, so I haven't been on 11Forums much, as of yet, so missed that he was back over there. He was doing Gigabyte Driver too at one point for my Desktop Mobo too.
KB.
apparently, this 6.0.9475.1 asus driver is causing some problems for some win11 users and are reverting to the older 6.0.9468.1 version, which worked fine for those affected users.
MokiChu is NOT gone from ROG forum as he's still there but only in the desktop motherboards section; just not for rog laptops.
the last gigabyte driver Moki did was 6.0.9180.1 (I have a copy of it but it's for gigabyte mb's only) back in late June 2021
now I do unofficial gigabyte drivers but in another forum since I own a gigabyte mb
your G732LWS laptop uses Sonic Studio 3 / Nahimic audio enhancer {that's what asus put on there, whether you like it or not}, so let MS store install that on top of the 6.0.8981.1 {Audio_Realtek_Nahimic_ROG} and Nahimic ISST component drivers.
btw, asus no longer makes any more new "Audio_Realtek_Nahimic_ROG" drivers for laptops; on the other hand, asus does still make occasional "Audio_Realtek_Nahimic" drivers for certain gaming desktop PCs like 6.0.9088.1 & 6.0.9287.1. you could try either the 9088 or 9287 versions on your G732LWS laptop since they do include compatible INF files

just in - 6.0.9464.1 recently released on MUC
Hi thanks EP / Cliff S , I appreciate the time you took to post and the info , I will give these a try over the Weekend.
I had a link to his laptop ROG forum on m desktop , but it goes nowhere now so I thought he was gone again , not realising
he was doing only Asus Desktop Mobo Drivers now.
My GB Desktop Mobo is on Official 9235.1 from late 2021 from the GB Site, ( I think CliffS recommended that one) they have 9373.1 as well
from July 2022 but I have not tried it yet, was that version any good? I have always relied on others better ears ( and gear ) to tell me the better Drivers :)
