Still rockin 9205 HDA
Hello,
I bought a new computer and my microphone is causing a lot of static/background noise, even when not speaking - it happens over discord and when I listen to the device. My old PC, I was able to download some drivers and enable the "Enhancements Tab", in that tab was Audio Suppression and Echo Cancellation I believe - checking both those boxes got rid of the static/background noise.
I have spent quite some time downloading various drivers, uninstalling drivers etc, following guides and I cannot get the tab back and the sound is still permitting. I stream, and my viewers have said my microphone is very soft and it's set to 100%.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING Z590-PLUS ATX LGA1200 Motherboard

OS: Windows 10 - 64 bit
Enhancements tab no longer exists.
You configured your audio with Realtek Audio Console app and whatever DTS/Dolby/Nahimic/Sonic app that your asus computer comes with.
Thank you for the information.
I get an error "cannot connect to RPC service" when trying to open this.

Ok awkwardly, I downloaded another driver and saw the enhancements tab but it didn't any good. Now unfortunately for the last 2 hours I've been trying to fix another issue.
I have NO sound, the volume mixer is completely blank - no sound. System sounds don't even register. I'm at a loss as to what to do, thinking of doing a windows reformat to see if that will fix it by putting everything back to a system default? What a pain... I will wait awhile to see if anyone here can give me some advice.
Appreciate it.
I fixed it, services.msc then right click properties on 3 options, windows audio, realtek and audio end point - add or re-add the user "Local Service" and set passwords. So random.
Still can't get into console now though... will continue to tackle it... .
Solved it.
EasyDriver drivers, updated a bunch, restarted the 3 i talked about above, restarted comp, still nothing, disabled (not uninstall) the realtek audio driver, restart, re-enable and it worked.

Cannot connect to RPC service --- go to task manager and look for realtek universal audio service (and maybe other audio services if you have premium audio and asus sonic stuff).
It should be enable on start up. If these audio services and not enabled, then it gives you the RPC service errors.
Finally, a new one (9301) for ASRock at ASRock > Support
anybody else have compatibilty issues with realtek and windows 21h2? curious if anyone running older windows versions
