According to MoKiChU 9200.1 and on are Windows 11 WHQL certified.
6.0.9205 sounds closer to HDMI passthrough than 9200.1 did.
But it also is missing the punch on bass 9200 has, but has lots of thump.
Note: When I test, I compare always first with all sound enhancements turned off, then with my favorite settings.
On 9205 Mids and highs are about the same as 9200, maybe the highs are a little crisper(on a high hat) though.
The way I see it, so far for Windows 11, for gamers(explosions) and Brutal Slam Death metal and Trap & Bass junkies listeners(drop bass), 9200 is better, with the punch.
And for movie and any other music 9205 is the better choice.
Thanks again @MoKiChU
Has anybody experienced any sound crackling/popping with an ASUS Prime Pro X370? I am using the latest drivers from the manufacturer website but for some reason get the occasional faint crackle and pop in multiple games. I even purchased new headphones and formatted a fresh Windows 10 copy to rule those out so I think it could be the board. I've tried multiple different driver versions including the latest UAD from MoKi
Try with completely powering off your computer, which includes power switch on PSU and disconnecting the power cord. Push power on button to discharge some capacitors. Reconnect after 15-30 minutes and try again.
If there are still cracks, then try Linux, eg. Debian Live USB iso. Boot it and listen to e.g. youtube videos. If the problems are still present with the sound, chances are MB has hardware issues.
Thats helpful thank you both

No dice unfortunately. I've given up and ordered one of these as a cheap alternative to replace my onboard Realtek ALC1220. Fingers crossed.
