You have to download the software components cab file from microsoft update catalog and update all the realtek software components via device manager. Then run microsoft store to update the realtek audio console.Read my sticky tutorial.

Read the sticky tutorial. Update ALL 3 the software components and the actual 6.0.9658.1 audio driver.

thank you, everything was updated, without opening the store. The only one that did not want to update was "realtek audio effect component" but the rest is perfect.

That file hasn't been updated in 4 months.

The latest one is this one:

Rekart asked a simple question --- his realtek audio console got rpc error message. That can only means 2 things: (1) the realtek universal audio software component is not enabled at start-up or (2) initial dch driver installation via device manager so the software components were not installed in the first place.

So I gave the simplest and yet the correct answer. Check task manager on the for the enable on start-up and install the oem driver with installer exe. I completely solved his problem in about 6 lines of comment.

Then you immediately went off on your treatise length rant and offer your overcomplicated yet completely incorrect solution. Here's my magical solution to resurrect hidden stuff via registry mod and here's the HDA driver if you want to install. Completely wrong answer and waste everybody's time.

Let us know how the UAD driver behaves on your board would you? I am curious if you will have "Enhancements" and all the effects, like Loudness EQ, Equalizer, etc. without having to use Nahimic or other third party stuff. I can never even find a board any more that does not use third party effects.

Well ain't you "spacial". Has anyone told you lately you can be really f'n "abrasive"? You off your "calm" meds? I could solve it in one short sentence, "Install an HDA Driver". But your "tutorial" on how to install a specific driver from a specific source in one specific way, then update that driver and 13.7 different software components and join at the hip with M$ $tore (giving them complete control over your driver from then on) is SO much easier than installing a self contained HDA driver from the source, Realtek?

You offered a solution, I offered a solution. Both are good. Just depends on the reader's "PC world view". Mine is that any and all extra stuff is bad. M$ $tore, third party apps, any driver that is broken apart and divided up over 3+ different sources. Some folks run Windows LTSC or tweaked Windows and don't even have MS Store.

When I install the DCH or UAC drivers from the gigabyte site with or without upgrading with the cab files looks the same. I automatically lose the tab "enhancements" (only appears with the generic windows drivers). everything else looks normal

Weird, so they just expect you to do without half the features of your audio chip just to use the new DCH/UAD drivers? I'd still use the good old generic (FF00) HDA drivers myself. Then you don't have to get anything from MS Store and you get all your effects, etc. They should have never done this nonsense with splitting the driver up between a bunch of individual components, all supplied by different places.
