Yeah, I've been thinking about the same. I reckon this cannot be normal.

I've noticed they have taken away the link in community tabs for all ROG pages.

Hi all - might be having to replace my dying PC soon. Would you guys recommend staying away from the ALC4080 codec?

Read this and decide: The Realtek ALC4080 on the new Intel boards demystified and the differences to the ALC1220 | Insider | igor'sLAB

But many so called "Audiophiles" prefer a USB DAC over the old Realtek SoC DACs when listening to digital.
It has to do with the system timer when using SoC, USB has it's own timer.

Yeah I read that and still a bit confused if I'd want it or not. I've just read of issues with them though (popping/crackling/headphone issues, possibly just driver related) and wasn't sure if it's still an issue. Don't want to spend extra on the board for it (need more audio jacks for surround sound) anyway so may either stick with Z690 w S1220 which have enough audio jacks or get an external USB DAC solution anyway.

MoKiChU has posted ASUS Realtek UAD 6.0.9450.1 WHQL [01/12/2022] in Windows 11 Forums: [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx) | Windows 11 Forum

He migrated to 11 forums because ROG forums has taken too long to migrate to their new forum software(it's been weeks and their forum is still not up).

Also for other drivers his index is here: [INDEX] All My Firmware/Drivers/Software Threads | Windows 11 Forum
