whatever the driver version, the first thing that matters is the quality of the headset and the quality of the loudspeaker.


why did i say that ??

because even if you update to the latest driver version it will not automatically make the sound you hear will be good if the audio device you are using is of poor quality

I am using Releases . pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic . GitHub
(should i be using the "MoKiChU" releases? my mobo is B550m Steel Legend).

i am getting this error during installation:
"Creating setup autostart entry to either start over or finish setup on reboot if necessary...
ERROR: Access is denied."

this message happens again 1-2 more times for different type of entries.

what is it? should i pay it any attention? rest of the installation went fine and driver works.

If it matters i use BitDefender and i close both "Defender Shield" & "Advanced Threat Defense".

so replying to myself.

I run DriverStoreExplorer, force removed the Realtek drivers.
then closed AV & UAC and run as admin UAD drivers.
no such errors anymore.

driver versions in device manager & realtek audio console are like this now:

uninstall pal1000's Realtek-UAD-generic driver and use any of the drivers provided by ASRock.
the B550M Steel Legend Realtek uad/dch driver download available from the ASRock site is 6.0.9231.1 (aka. 9231.1_UAD_WHQL_Nahimic).

you will need a "UAD_WHQL_Nahimic" driver direct from ASRock for the B550m motherboard, iakoboss7 (never use MoKiChU's drivers unless you have a modern ASUS brand computer or motherboard). latest ASRock based "UAD_WHQL_Nahimic" driver is 6.0.9381.1 from this link.

MUC has recently posted a 6.0.9411.1 "all oem" driver Thu Nov. 17 > {direct cab link to 9411 all oem driver - size 11.8Mb}
although MUC previously only had a 9411 HP only driver in early November, which that cab download was 11.4Mb in size

why do i need a "UAD_WHQL_Nahimic" driver instead of the generic UAD? what is the difference?

how did u get this driver version "6.0.9381.1" from asrock?
do you know of an Asrock link i can check myself for future driver releases?
