Noticed that the Realtek Asio Component's driver is still 1.0.0.8, 3/24/21. Is this the latest?

Yes, Realtek Asio has yet to be updated.

MoKichU has 9264 up, my verdict:
9264 sounds pretty good, not as close to HDMI like 9209, but good still.
The highs sound a tad too compressed and/or clipped..

Hi Cliff, so you consider 9209 better than 9137? Your new favorite? I'm also wondering if, like in my case where I use the optical out from the m/b (Crosshair VI Hero X370 chipset) to my amp optical input (which has ES9018 DAC), if all these drivers affect and thus make a difference for the m/b Realtek optical output as well or not. I mean, if it's just the same as using Windows base drivers (for the digital output). My ears would say sometimes seems yes, but I'm still not really sure...

I use optical out to my Sharp Dolby Atmos soundbar.
9209 is a Windows 11 WHQL certified driver(all drivers 9200 and forward are), but yeah it sounds closest to HDMI from both Intel and Nvidia. Intel just has more dolby options, so I use that now when I use HDMI.

Optical is actually the best to use, because there is no interreference from the other electrical onboard stuff or cables leaving your pc. Plus system timers(like BIOS HPET and windows own timers QPC/GTF) and will not be a problem as the sound output device, like my soundbar, has it's own built in timer, and will not use windows or the built in DACs.

As always thanks for reporting. If anyone spies the 9264 specific to MSI, please let me know!

hi i got an msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac and i d like to install the Realtek® ALC1220 Codec driver. On the msi motherb page they got 2 drivers 1: Realtek HD Universal Driver 6.0.1.9250 (include Nahimic Driver) is written just for Windows 10 RS3 or later versions.
2:Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.8619 for Windows 10 RS2 or earlier versions. Can i install the n 2 if i got w10 x64 v21h1 version ? i googled that maybe is better to not install the version with nahimic drivers ? also that the msi drivers download page is not very accurate ? on the realtek site the last high def audio driver is the R2.82 2017/07/26 dim 258 MB but on the pdf readme i could nt find the alc1220 that is my audio

All those information is outdated and completely wrong.

Just install 9250 from MSI's website.

Windows Update will push Realtek audio driver updates to you afterwards. If Nahimic has bugs, then Windows Update will also push Nahimic updates to you.
