Volume too low on my Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook

Sometimes it's OK if a vid has extra volume, but most of the time it is almost too low to hear. I have done the GodMode settings and nada. if anyone knows an "insider" trick, I'm all ears! :)

Hi, I use PC Equaliser (free) - both as an equaliser for better sound quality from poor built-in speakers, and on occasion on lower volume Zoom e.g. to boost the sound above the default max level.

This is a 2-part download - the equaliser, and a simpler GUI.

Don't know what the demise of Flash Player is affecting, -EQ works great and gain is more than enough to solve this problem.

    Thanks dalchina!

I read your post on equalizers and tried it on a Nirvana video, but made no difference. Didnt windows have a sound equalizer in properties, must look.

Do any sliders on the equaliser have any effect?
Note you need to install 2 programs to use the simple GUI, and make sure it's enabled.

Some sound drivers include one, but often it's missing. That varies.
Some players, e.g. vlc player, include one.
These may or may not allow additional amplification is this one does with a single slider.

Under settings -> System -> Sound -> Advanced sound Options & you can check your master volume along with any apps, if you have a specific app that's low, like YouTube or whatever make sure whatever browser listed you use is at at 100%. There's also a button to reset factory defaults.

You can also r-click the speaker in taskbar to open the volume mixer & check the levels of anything running that way.
