    Strange aux issue

    Hey!
So, when I plug any sort of AUX cable into my PC, whether its speakers, headset, headphones, it won't work unless they were in when the computer turned on.

Basically, I have to have my headphones plugged in before turning my PC on or AUX wont work.

It just says it's not plugged in even though it is. Restarting would fix it, but if I just unplugged then plugged it back in after the restart the same thing would happen.

If you turn off AUX cable, unplug all and remove (default) speakers, headset, headphones added to your computer .... then plug the AUX cable back in and then add speakers, headset and headphones back to your computer, will they work?

if you mean what i think you do, (disable everything in playback settings, unplug all audio devices & plug back in then reenable) then it didn't
