How to view all muted apps?

I've used the Volume Mixer to mute certain apps, and sometimes an app will be muted that I don't remember I had muted. I can go into the Volume Mixer and unmute apps, but it only shows the programs that are currently running. When an app that was muted when it was closed starts up again, it's still muted. Is there a way I can see the muted apps that aren't currently running?

    ms-settings:apps-volume

Paste it in a Run box or create a shortxcut.

@Edwin- interesting, but unfortunately does not show the muted state of a process which is not running.

Just tried Regshot to see what changes when umuting one.. relatively impenetrable result.

    This seems to do it:
AppAudioConfig - Edit app audio settings in Windows Registry

and the info indicates where the registry stores this.

Starting from Windows Vista, you are allowed to change the sound volume of every application separately, and after you exit from the application, the last settings are saved in the Registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertyStore so in the next time you run the application, your last settings are used.
