Headphone jack no longer working with Realtek.

Hi people. This is my first attempt at getting help. I've searched all the forums but can't find a solution to my issue. I have an Asus Zenbook with Realtek audio and Win 10. Every now and then I find that the headphone jack no longer works. This used to be that an update switched the setting from headphone to headset, but now I have a weird thing - the only way I can get sound via the headphone is to select "MIc In" in the Connector Retasking ANALOG drop down in the Realtek Audio Console. This makes no sense and also mutes the laptop's mic. I only use this for Zoom meetings but I really really need my headphone jack to work correctly as I have a hearing problem and use specialist equipment to hear. I have updated and reinstalled the Realtek drivers to no avail. The Windows troubleshooter says there is no issue. Everything was fine on 13/03/21 but by 15/03/21 it has gone wrong. Can you help??

When you plug in your Head set the Mic goes in the red lack and the Headphone jack goes in the green jack. This will automatically cut the sound to the speakers. I am talking about the from inputs. The Realtek Audio Console can be downloaded from the store. Below are some images that may help.
