FYI: I just installed Equalizer APO with (Peace 64 bit) and it's working fine.

There is at least one other front end available but I've never used that one.

thx Callender - the APO's eq gui is pretty simple to understand. My setup (Bose speakers) was very bass-heavy and a minor tweak to those frequencies took care of all the rattling goin' on around me. Yes, my media players have dsp controls, but I needed something to handle 'system/pc'-based audio, like youtube, vevo, netflix, etc.

Can't understand why after decades the os has not basic bass, treble & l-r balance. I mean, like, would it be that code-heavy to add these sliders to the os mixer? sheeeeeesh!

    all is well!

If you install Peace and launch it you will have access to numerous contols and sound profiles.

Whatever profile you set remains set system wide until you either adjust the profile or load another profile then that change sticks system wide.

For me it's no problem. I just use media players with their own sound controls and make adjustments but they will be using EqulalizerAPO/ Peace settings as a baseline.

So the best option might be to create a profile in Peace for your browser if listening to music or movies.

Then create another profile for the rest (mediaplayers).

Or else just deactivate when you need to.

    Just to offer another possibilty.

If you just want to adjust audio when using a browser try an addon. These types of addons can be enabled/ disabled as and when needed.

See if this one installs in Palemoon. I'm not at all sure that it will.
