no sound after connection dell monitor through hdmi

I connect my laptop to 21 inch dell monitor to view things in bigger screen through HDMI port. Before clean install windows 10 20h2 I could hear sound from connected speakers when monitor is connected. When I first connected monitor before clean install it installed a driver also. After clean install and update, When monitor is connected, no sound in speakers. How to get sound when monitor is connected.

Look in settings and see what sound output device is listed. If your monitor isn’t shown then that’s likely your problem.
Otherwise look at this article on the Dell Display Manager. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/e...manager#Models. Near the end there is a listing of the supported Dell monitors. If yours is on the list you could install it and see if it fixes the problem.
