All Music / Audio Files Gathered Using Command Line

I am looking for command line methods or series of command methods for gathering all audio files across one or more drives as is done in File Explorer using the search box and the directive "kind:music". I want to get them all in one directory,

Seem like it should be easy but I have not found a way to do this.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Mike,

You could use File explorer to do the job. Just run your search, select all the results and cut-paste them into your "one directory".

You seem to have discounted that method.

You can also do it with a free search tool such as Everything from Voidtools.com.

Your search term might be ".mp3" or ".flac" or ".wav".

The results will be shown in a new window. You can then select all files in that window via keyboard and then paste them wherever you want.....into one directory, which would ignore their original path.

In addition you could use a third party search tool to search the directories and file extensions that you are interested in then move files in one go to whatever directory you specify.

I reckon you could also do that with windows search but I cannot comment as I keep that disabled.

Yes. These are all options. But the question remains how to conduct a sweep using the command line.

What is the name / source of thes tool that you mention and illustrate? Cost? It is very nice.
