    Got a reply from MokichU, he sent me the link for gigabyte driver which I downloaded and installed, it then went into reboot. He did say remove all other drivers before but I got diverted and forgot. Checked speakers no enhancement section. Maybe I should start again, remove all realtech stuff, nvidia HD audio and try again, my fault. I checked Nvidia control panel, their drivers are only for the monitor so that negates that bit. My monitor audio is mute.

    Other options include delete sound files, reboot and let windows choose, then install the gigabyte drivers again. Also, the sound is onboard MB, does that make any diff?

    Hi,

    Please read my PM carefully, and follow the steps of all the processes carefully, moreover, I never told you that the tab will appear, I told you that since you are using UAD drivers, what you are looking for is in the Realtek Audio Control/Console app (which link is the process I gave you, here it is again : https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9p2b8mcsvpln).
    Guilty as charged m'lord. Will have a better look tomorrow. Time for bed in UK. Appreciated your time my friend. Went to link and installed this. Thanks, need to hit the pillow now, see you with any questions tomorrow.

    @MoKiChU

    Thanks.

    @elbmek

    Well having said that I never update a working sound driver I just removed and resinstalled realtek HDA and also got the enhancements tab (which I've never had).

    It broke V4W but a clean install of that and a repatch fixed it fine. I'm not the expert here so would advise following MoKiChU's advice.

    What I did would not help you. You're not using HDA like me.

    I think the OP is missing a Realtek signed driver of some sort...,

    A few Insider Builds ago, I lost the 'Enhancements Tab' and the Realtek HD Audio Manager in Control Panel; I installed an older version of Realtek and got everything back and kept it ever since.

    MockichU - the gigabyte software is perfect - it does everything I wanted. I have been playing Nirvana and messing with the controls, amazing, beautiful. Thank you a million times, and thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, greatly appreciated. Good to hear from Edwin again too. Thanks Call, Jacee, hdmi.
