    How do I install the Microsoft Generic Audio Driver?
    I'm having problems with my current Realtek audio driver so I need to test out the microsoft one for debugging.

    Uninstalling and deleting the realtek sound driver and then restarting, does not make the microsoft generic audio driver be installed. In fact the realtek sound driver installs itself again after restarting, even though I ticked the box to make it delete the driver software.

    I'm using Windows 10 20H2

Generic Audio Driver Issue

I tried updating drivers, un and reinstall them didn't work. When I run the troubleshoot it says I have a GENERIC AUDIO DRIVER issue....anybody have any suggestions to how I can fix this? 116294
Dell Studio XPS 9100.. presumably has ICH10R controller I have tried everything Intel has for the part, but will not install. stuck with the generic Microsoft AHCI driver I am using a Samsung evo 840 ssd if it matters can anyone help?
