The headset looks exactly like this. It's not recognized by the OS, plays no sound, neither does the mike work.

There are no drivers that I can find on the MSI page.
To clarify, other headsets work just fine. Even cheap $10 ones (especially those).
So it's an issue with the driver apparently. It's new and never worked.

Plug the headset in and perform the following [ this checks for ANY Problem Device Errors ] . . .
[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file [ Find_ANY_Problem_Devices.bat ].
If there are ANY errors it will create a Prob_Devices.txt file on the Desktop.

I ran the script. No problem devices were found.
The MSI headset is not seen by the Device manager. No errors.
Actually the headset does not appear to be seen by any other device either. Does not work even with a phone.

I opened a case with MSI and will update when I hear from them. I think it is a hardware issue with their gaming headset.
