    Need reboot to get sound on my tv/hdmi.


    This was not the case on my previous pc. But i'm not sure whats going on. I use the onboard soundcard on my pc, and if I switch to my tv, that uses hdmi, it shows up fine, and it visually looks like its playing in the windows sound settings, but there is no sound. I have to reboot to get sound. I've tried with both windows default audio driver and nvidia's audio driver that comes with the graphics driver. Both behave the same way.

    Motherboard is asus rog maximus xi hero z390. Could it be the sonic studio driver that gives me this bug? Anyone have any suggestions to how to fix this?

    uninstall the sound drivers completely.Then reboot the pc and let it find and install drivers.see if that works

    You have to reboot when switching between the windows and nvidia one.
