I did, about 23 years ago when I first started burning audio CDs. I wanted to convert some audio cassettes to audio CD. This was done by connecting my cassette player to the AUX IN jack of my Sound Blaster Pro AWE32 and recording to WAV with an unnecessarily complex piece of software called SoundForge. Its saving grace was that it had a preset for RedBook audio so after recording no conversion was required with the CD software that came with my CD burner. Later I started using Nero which would convert audio files to RedBook during the audio CD burning process.

Make sure when burning you select 'Disc at Once'. Many older CD players won't recognize muli-session discs.



Once you've burned your CD open explorer and click on 'This PC'. You should see 'Audio CD' in your CD drive. If you do, success!

So you should know there are many parameters which influence how .wav tracks are organized/played.

It actually can.

This is an image-to-disk option, not files-to-image which I meant. Furthermore, it does not open .cue file correctly (Burn ISO image option, not CDDA image) so burned disk from .bin file only probably will be unplayable. Lazy to test, no vintage cdplayer at hand.

...download a file, install a program, burn a cd.
Nothing more needed.

The steps are easy enough and the graphics aid for sure.
I repeated the process.

I again ended up with

My CD player did not recognize it either.

So maybe there is and error in CDBurnXP?

I have a few discs left: I will try your suggestions tomorrow.

BTW. Finalize Disk is checked by default.

So the speed change might do the job?

BTW I could not get the track to play from the F drive. Should it play from there?

Sometimes a slow burn speed helps...
To play it from drive you should open it as CD. For example, on VLC go to "Media" menu and then "Open Disc":
