Speakers not working while bluetooth headphones are connected

Set Audio Output Device for Apps individually

[1] Open Settings.
[2] Goto System --> Sound.
[3] Under Sound --> Other sound options, click on the App volume and device preferences link [ right-hand side ].
[4] Select the desired audio output device for any of the Apps that play sounds from the drop down list.
[5] You might need to restart the App [ like audio players ] for the change to be implemented.

You can also change the sound level for system sounds. It also includes controls to mute Apps, change the master volume level, and select output and input devices etc.

I was going to purchase new speakers. BOSE Companion 2 Series III, but I think I will save the money and abort my purchase as I give up and will have to live without speakers. I'm done...

Yes, and when the connected via Bluetooth the audio to the speakers are muted. Works that way with my Bose NC 700's - when they are connected via Bluetooth, my speakers connected to my DAC connected to my PC via optical cable are muted.

You mean that every time I want to listen to my headphones I have to reconnect to bluetooth? I would rather just put the headphones on and listen instead of all that BS.

What's so hard about turning them on and letting them connect to your device?

Either there's some confusion here, or you're creating a mountain out of a baby ant hill.

I prefer to have the headphones connected all the time as sometimes they don't connect if I turn them off. (they have an insane battery life. 100 hours listening, 400 hours idle). I have a switch to manually turn off the speakers if I am disturbing someone. This is how I prefer to do things.
