Caps Lock Has Lost Its Beep.

I have just realised that my Caps Lock and Num Lock have lost their beep. This is annoying because I rely on this sound to tell me when I have accidently hit Caps Lock. I have been to Settings / Ease of Access / Keyboard / Toggle Keys and Play Sound is On. So does anyone have any idea what might be the problem please? Win 10 V. 1909.

This is more than likely a function of a third party Keyboard - I use a number of Logitech keyboards which have their own application (actually two Options and the older SetPoint for older Keyboards and Mice)

There are a lot of Logitech control applications available on their sites Software – Logitech Support + Download other manufacturers also have similar control options

Thank you Barman (Win 10 Prof V. 1909) I have a Dell keyboard and everything has worked perfectly for three years. This is a new problem.

These options come in two parts, a driver and a control app (though some may just use a driver with the basic on/off option. (Dell do provide options for keyboard Special functions and additional keys), these only work with specific keyboards, if you go onto the dell website local to you (to get a localised setup) and enter your Device ID they should have help available to switch the sound option on/off, it maybe that a particular key combination is used, which has been accidentally triggered

Thanks so much for your help. After a massive trawl I came across this gem:

If your other sounds work but the system's "toggle keys" sounds aren't working, try this out:

    1. Right-click the volume icon near your clock and choose "Open Volume Mixer"
    2. Make sure the "System Sounds" option is turned up.

This resolved the problem. No idea how it was changed in the first place. But this might help someone else. Thanks all.
