What are you using the headset with?

When did this happen? Out of the blue or had you run an update of some sort beforehand? Or literally done anything else

I just had the same problem. For mine the microphone wire was damaged internally.
My symptoms were the headset working as usual, except no input from the microphone, but the mute unmute switch was still working and giving an audible tone.
I opened it up and saw there was a spot where the wire for the mic is glued at a 90 degree angle to the side of the case where the mic pivots, this is where it was broken for me.
    hope this helps

Bog, how did you take it apart?

I'm having the same issue and I'm sure it's a wiring problem. I want to open it up but want to be careful about it.

How to get inside: On the mic side you remove the ear cup. Use a small torx screw driver. There are 4 screws. Then carefully move the speaker out of the way (wires are short on mine). You should see the internal workings of the mic arm.

Mine had the same problem as Bog. The mic wire rubbed on a stabilizing arm and wore the wire casing down and basically cut it. Not really fixable. I'm getting a replacement from Logitech so that's a plus (still within years warranty). When I get the replacement going to open it and check the wire placement to make sure this one lasts longer.

Off to check my wife's headset to make sure it's not doing the same thing.
