Equalizer not working in Asus Realtek Audio console

    Hello!

I have a problem that is bugging me. I searched everywhere but I could not find a solution so I hope you guys could help me. I am not an audio expert so I hope that my question will sound stupid and easy to fix for you! :)

I have recently downloaded the Realtek (R) Audio drivers from my motherboard manufacturer. All is working quite well a part from the EQ. I can access the EQ but moving the sliders don't change the sound.

Do you know why this happens and what I can do to fix this issue?

    Some information regarding my machine

    Windows 10 (OS Build 18363.836) - 64bit
    Intel i9-9900K 3.60GHz
    Asus Prime Z390-A - ATX/Z390
    32GB Ram
Asus GeForceRTX 2080 Super OC 8gb

The ASUS Realtek Audio Console has the following information:

    Audio driver version: 6.0.1.8666
    UI Version: 1.1.137.0

Please let me know if you need any additional information or if I should send you any screenshot!

    Thank you!

Try for comparison the APO equaliser (free) and see if that works for you.

    Equalizer APO download | SourceForge.net

GUI link shown on right there.

Please see below the screenshot. I downloaded the EQ from the link provided but it does not look like yours:

Note that I have also tried to change the values from config.txt but nothing seems to change

I think I mentioned the GUI link on the right. There are two things to download, what you have, and a more convenient GUI - separate program. That's just meant to be more user friendly.

Are you sure it's associated with the correct devices?

Sorry for the late reply. Which one of the GUI should I install. Below are those I can see on the right:

Regarding the devices, yes, I connected the correct ones. Still no effect.

The GUI option just makes it a bit easier to use. If the basic program doesn't make changes, it won't help there.

Sorry, I've no idea why no equaliser will work for you, assuming they are correctly enabled and the correct devices selected.

If you click either of the top two options, a page options which includes screenshots. They are two different ones to give a different look and feel.

What are you using to play sound? Example: I used Firefox
    YouTube

This makes a real difference on my (crummy) laptop speakers

I understand the GUI option but which one of the GUI that I showed you should I download?

I agree that it will probably not make any difference but I want to give it a try. It is extremely frustrating when I have quite a powerful machine and something some simple doesn't work without any apparent reason.

Well, I originally mentioned the one top right- the one at the very top on the right is the one I use, although the second one looks as if it might have more options.

But at the moment, your problem is none appear to work- again, I just wonder if there isn't an option you haven't used to enable yours.

For example on your GUI I think these 3 are On/Off buttons
