No sound on pc. Tried everything to fix.

Heres what I know and have tried.

My pc recognizes that my headset and speakers are connected. I can select and change the output between the two of them. It fails to play a test note when i attempt to. My Corsair vengeance pro wireless headset is also not playing the audio phrase when it fully connects to the pc.

I have re-installed and updated all drivers related to sound.

I have gone into services.msc and restarted both windows audio items and plug and play.

I have hard restarted the pc after each of these and all at once.

I have had this happen once before and it fixed itself with the only change happening being my headset fully charging. Not sure if its related at all but i let the computer sit and that was the only thing that had changed until i came back to sound working again.

Hi, please complete specs for your PC (see 'My computers' under my post for comparison) - 2 tutorials available if needed. About how old is it?

my headset and speakers are connected
    - how are they connected?

As you were prompted by the forum when you wrote the post (to save us asking), please post your build number.

    History: (usually omitted):
    - how long have you not had sound?
    - what happened that might have led to this?
E.g. - update/upgrade/installation/ change of settings/ the cat walked over the keyboard..

    Basic checks:
    - run the Audio troubleshooter (rt click volume icon) and post a screenshot
To post a screenshot use the icon above your post, tooltip Insert Image. Tutorial available.
    -
post a screenshot of your Volume Mixer like this:
No sound on pc. Tried everything to fix.-untitled.png

    - post a screenshot like this:
No sound on pc. Tried everything to fix.-untitled.png

    - when you rt click the default device and click 'Test' does the green bar show movement- or nothing?

Do you have a relevant System Restore point?

    Example threads:
    No sound from speakers/headphones

Hi, there are two problems indicated by the troubleshooter, and your default playback device seems inappropriate.
The troubleshooter may give more info: 'View detailed information'.

Again, do you have a relevant restore point as this has only recently happened? If so use that.

Otherwise: try resetting services and see if the troubleshooter shows that problem has been resolved.

Use Tweaking.com's free repair tool observing its preparatory stages.
    (Google, download, install)
    Choose only relevant repairs:
    Reset service permissions
    Set Windows services to default..
    Restore important... services

Still no details of your PC or build number.

I assume that means you don't have a system restore point - which would be the first thing to try.

There is point to me asking these things.

Try setting the speakers to default rather than the monitor.
