Audio suddenly not working. Even after refreshing PC

Today I woke up to find that my computer's audio isn't working at all. It's not the speakers (tested them on another computer). I have tried all the basic trouble shooting (updated drivers, restarted audio service, changed audio properties, sfc in cmd). I have even refreshed my PC(while saving my files) and it's still not working. I also can't do a sound test, a pop up says "test failed"

Do I have to completely reset my pc to get it to work again? Could it be a hardware issue at this point?

The computer I've using is here:
    Robot Check

    No modifications.

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8060A5 Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 2.8GHz Processor, 8GB DDR4 DRAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, WiFi & Win 10) Black

Have a look at your Update History. Have you perhaps had an update? In particular a driver update?

Try the troubleshooter (rt click volume icon) and report the result.

Do you have a system restore point you could use? Or a recent disk image?

Do I have to completely reset my pc to get it to work again?
Hopefully not. The sledgehammer is an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs, data and most settings.

Could it be a hardware issue at this point?
You can check this independently by booting your PC from a live boot disk if you wished (a useful thing to have to hand).

    1. I don't think it was an update. I went to bed for only 6 hours, woke up and it had no sound. I also put my computer to sleep and not shut down

    2. I tried the troubleshooter it was no help either

    3. I don't have a restore point

Thank you for your reply. I assume you don't yet use disk imaging as is tirelessly recommended by members here.

By sound test do you mean this?

What did the troubleshooter report? Anything?

Please create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user and try sound.

I don't know what I did but it's working again. It might have something to do with the windows USB I stuck in trying to do something with that. Thanks for trying XD
    I hate my moody computer.
EDIT it stopped working again RIGHT after I posted this

I want to also add that Youtube vids are saying "Audio renderer error. Please restart your computer."
    That's where it all started.

It first suggests I turn off audio enchantments

I click "yes open audio enchantments" and the speaker properties window opens up. the troubleshooter continues and then says
"The audio enchantments didn't load Fixed"

and yes, that's what I mean by the sound test

EDIT 2: Ok, I think I fixed it for good this time. It seems like all it took was turning off the audio enchantments.
