    Volume Question for Music Players

Alright this only has been happening to me since i bought Windows 10. Version - 1909 (OS Build - 18363.720)

And i have tried several options, but no matter what happens it never fixes my problem.

And my problem is, Whenever i run another program, pc games, etc. The Audio either goes off or becomes super Low.

Now i dunno about all of you, but i like to listen to music whenever i play video games. But Windows 10, or the Audio program dampens my audio, to the point where i can' barely ever hear it.

Do i need to find a new audio program, and just install it? Because i've tried to go into settings, and turn things off so my audio plays really loud, but it never works.

I've played a little with them.... I do recall that option, i may need to try going back into it again. But my issue i think i'm having is, the Computer makes Games, or other apps the priority, so if audio is being played, it will lower it, dampen it so other programs can take priority.

There are 2 inter-related issues with this issue.

The first one is the exclusive mode.

The second one is that communications automatically reduces your audio by 80%. So you are playing music and you have an incoming skype call --- the computer automatically reduces your music by 80% so that you can answer the call.

How to Prevent Windows from Automatically Reducing System Volume

People often are running game chats along with playing games --- that makes it a communication device. Along with discord, OBS streaming, virtual audio cable... --- you have a half dozen of applications each asserting their claim on the audio signal. That makes troubleshooting nearly impossible.

Using the image Cliff S provided start with 16-bit 44100K (CD quality) and test (with the test button, and the media you intend to paly ad go from there as not all media or media players support 192000K 24-bit. They should, but...

Those settings can be found going Control Panel, Sound, check that the "Playback" tab showing. Right click the audio device being used (usually highlighted in green), click "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab. Under Default Format there's a dropdown box where you select a sample rate and bit depth. Start with 16-bit 44100K (CD quality) and go from there.

    Let us know.

I disabled the Exclusive feature, and the other feature along with it, and it seems to let me play my Music 75% louder then it originally was with the Exclusive feature on.

So atm... it's Fixed, and i want to thank everyone who replied to this post, i will update my settings in the volume controls and hope it stays like this.

So with your guy's help i appreciate it Thank you :)
