    Volume sometimes controls itself

This has been happening for awhile.
I will be listening to music or watching Netflix or something when the volume begins increasing by itself.
You can see the volume icon moving on the screen.
My windows version is 1909, but the problem has been here for over a year.

    HI,

You may go to Control panel => Sound / Communications tab and see if that's the reason.

If not, perhaps the player you use has an effect that causes that (e.g. auto increase low volume).

Unfortunately, I've tried that already. It didn't help.

Is there anyway that my keyboard could be causing the issue?
I know that sounds crazy, but I have a razor keyboard with a volume dial.
It is broken. When you try to turn the volume up or down using the dial it doesn't work the way that it is supposed to.
The color around is turns white when you hit that button or try to use the dial.
Whenever the volume starts controlling itself, the dial turns white as though it is being used.
    Does that make sense?
I don't know much about computers. Just a guess.

If you see the color around the digital dial changing when the volume changes by itself, that does sound like it could be the source of your grief.

I've read a couple of complaints about that volume control not functioning very well and occasionally becoming a scroll wheel without any user input.

Many of the Razer keyboards I found online had fully programmable keys. The manual I read wasn't very detailed, have you checked to see if the volume adjustment on the digital dial control can be disabled using the Synapse software? If it can't be disabled, could you possibly configure it to some other function like maybe scroll wheel?

What is the model # of this Razer keyboard?

    The model # is RZ03-02620200-R3U1

It is possible to disable it.

Thanks for that info. Why don't you try disabling the volume control as a test, especially if it doesn't function properly.

You're very welcome. If that corrects your problem could you please mark the thread as solved? This could help others searching for a solution. Thanks in advance,
