    Recommendations for decent WEBCAM -- particularly GOOD AUDIO

    Hi folks

    Now we are doing much more video conferencing / communicating etc I need a much better webcam.

    cost relatively immaterial but I'm in the market for a decent webcam which above all has DECENT AUDIO -- most cheap webcams have passable video (although I want at least full 1920 X 1080p HD definition) but trhe audio sounds usually even worse than those virtually inaudible modern tv series --amazing how some really old movies sound clear whereas some modern shows need subtitles to make any sense of them at all !!!

    So any ideas folks on a decent webcam --again best quality audio needed.

    Cheers

    @jimbo45

    I use the Logitech BRIO webcam, great image but I still haven't found a webcam with great audio!

    I use a USB Desktop Mic, Audio Technica AT2020 as well.

    Hi there
    Thanks
    @Edwin

    It's a shame that the audio on typical webcams is so poor -- a decent audio chip can be really tiny so shouldn't cost much to improve quality -- I suppose before current "Big -C" crisis people were more concentrated on the video or did a load more with Mobile phones -- however mobile phones aren't the best way of sitting in a global meeting with a few participants !!!

    I have excellent audio on the computer so it's definitely a problem with my current webcam -- and I really would like to avoid having to connect another piece of kit to the machine !!!

    I was perhaps thinking of using a Blu tooth xmitter (output from mobile phone into xmitter ), pairing that up with the blutooth receiver in the computer and then trying that --but for things like skype that might cause "Sync" problems even with fast connections -- I'm using LAN connected (ethernet) for the computer so blutooth / wifi cross interference shouldn't be a problem.

    Taotronics device might work -- will test that but really would prefer decent webcam with proper audio though !!! Just decent -- I don't need quality of "The Royal Opera House" but surely something at 192 / 256kbs audio shouldn't be too hard --my current one sounds like those old 32 kbs bits of really old mumbled audio.

    Cheers
