"Sounds" option not showing in my PC.

I have 2 laptops and in both of them the "sounds" option is available but it disappeared from my PC/Desktop. I am talking about what is underlined in the image, it's when you right click the speaker icon in the taskbar. It's in portuguese, "Sons", which translates to "Sounds". I suppose this has to do with some windows update, hope you can help me out. My windows version is: 1909 OS build 18363.657

Hi, this was moved, I believe. There was some discussion about it if you search the forum. I would guess there's a difference in Windows build between your machines.

Or e.g. Win key + S (search bar), search for 'System sounds' - or the equivalent translated.

it was removed in the 1903 & 1909 (build 18362/18363) versions but existed in v1809 and older
"Sound" menu option when right-clicking on the volume tray icon is restored in the upcoming 2004/20H1 version (build 19041.x)

upgrade to 20H1 when it comes out to the public either in late April or May

To get it back (not the sounds option, but the dialog thingy it opens), make a shortcut to

    Target: C:\Windows\System32\mmsys.cpl

Like I said - "Sounds" menu option restored in the v2004 release after it was removed from the 1903/1909 releases

You can also find 'Sounds' in @Brink 's Personalization classic Menu.

a more permanent solution is to upgrade to the newly released May 2020 (v2004) update which just came out today May 27 after 10am pacific local time (with at least build 19041.264).

no need to use the Personalization classic menu anymore with version 2004/20H1 & greater
