    Speakers lost after latest update.

Windows 10 1909 1836.657 I loaded the update to Win 10 from Microsoft in January 2020. All went well except my external speakers are gone. The speaker icon at the bottom of the home page indicates "No AUDIO Output Device is Installed". All connections are checked several times over. Any help recovering sound on my machine will be appreciated. The "Add New Hardware" routine will not work unless I can make it "see" the speakers. Thanks..

At a guess, you need to re-install the drivers for your sound device.

"HP 400" isn't a full identifier of what the PC is. Pavilion 400-034, maybe?

If it is, HP does not offer Windows 10 drivers for it. The Win 8.1 drivers will probably be good: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers.../model/5365421

If you search third party driver sites, be very careful. Some of them exist to install adware or worse on your PC.
