    No equalizer

I want to use the windows 10 equalizer, I have tried all the ways suggested and it is not there. My speaker system has to much BASS and it is hard to understand on some programs. It worked great on my win 7 computer but a no show on this one. Here is what I have - Do I need to or can upgrade to a higher version of windows 10. ( I tried to download the Realtor 2017 driver but it was going to take an hour ) Is there any thing I might try first?

MS WINDOwS 10 PRO 64 BIT
    VERSION 10.0.18363 BUILD 18363

DELL INC. OPTIPLEX 9010 OM9KCM MOTHERBOARD
    NVIDIA HD AUDIO
Realtek Download 6.0.8791.1 CAB ( installed)
    Speaker system is Logitech Z313

Windows 10 does not come with an equalizer.

Don't download the 2017 realtek driver, it will just give you headache.

Some PC manufacturers have done a deal which means you can't the equaliser in Realtekis unavailable. I have two laptops, both build 1903 (see My computers) - one has that, one doesn't and won't display it.

    There is this (free):
Download Equalizer APO 32 Bit - MajorGeeks

The Dell downloads (where the user should be getting drivers) Lists a Realtek High Definition driver for this model.

It works - I installed latest audio drivers. downloaded and installed Equalizer APO 64 and using it right out of the box I can lower my bass response and make the audio sound great. Thanks for all your help.

as fireberd was suggesting to use the specific Realtek audio drivers directly from Dell, rather than using any generic FFxx HDA driver found elsewhere. AND attempting to use UAD drivers on an older Optiplex machine like the OP's 9010 is completely out of the question.

by the way, here's the Dell Optiplex 9010 product support page, which lists all available drivers for that model, including the Win10 compatible audio driver - v6.0.1.6070 A00. I checked the contents of that package in 7zip and it includes the HDAADC.inf, HDAADCMA.inf, HDAADCMAX6.inf & HDAADCMAX7.inf files (for 32bit Windows); HDXADC.inf, HDXADCMA.inf, HDXADCMAX6.inf & HDXADCMAX7.inf files (for 64bit Windows). where can you find those specific INF files? nowhere else but packaged in certain Dell specific Realtek HDA drivers designed for certain series & models of Dell machines. no generic FFxx HDA driver package has them (not even in FF06 drivers)

this is one of those special cases where CUSTOMIZED / SPECIALIZED Realtek HDA drivers from Dell are required for certain business class series Dell computers like Optiplex, Latitude & Precision [ex. Optiplex 7450, Latitude E5270, Precision 3510]

Edit: as for the "equalizer" problem, maybe it's implemented in the "Dell Audio" control panel or in the MaxxAudio software bundled in the CUSTOMIZED Realtek v6.0.1.6070 HDA driver, rather than from the classic Realtek HD Audio Manager program. But using Equalizer APO is also good.

a follow up - here's the Dell forum topic of what the Waves MaxxAudio Pro Equalizer UI looks like had the OP used the Dell specific Realtek audio drivers for the Optiplex 9010 like the 6.0.1.6070 version:

Yes, it does. And the Groove Music player used to have one too.
