    realtek audio console

hi, i just bought an Alienware - Aurora R9 Gaming Desktop and am having trouble getting the realtek audio console to show up. the sound is fine but i want to adjust the bass and treble and some other stuff. the only options i get now are the standard windows settings. the audio console is not loading at all, all that is on task bar is the windows speaker icon. i have installed all the drivers from dell and have run driver genius which tells me i have all the latest drivers installed. i am running windows 10 home, thanx to any that reply.

It's not on the task bar. Just type Realtek and it should show up.

Do you have a firewall installed? Maybe you have to allow the app to pass the firewall.

    Check rpc in services.
    1) Press the Windows logo key and R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. Then type “services.msc” and press Enter.
    2) On the Services window, scroll down to find the items DCOM Server Process Launcher, Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and RPC Endpoint Mapper. Ensure their status is Running and their startup is set to Automatic.

You can go to Microsoft Update Catalog, search for 6.0.8874.1 and 11.0.6000.745. Download the 2 cab files, double click them and copy the files to 2 empty folders.

Then update the audio driver and the 3 software components in device manager (see last page of the big thread pin on the top) for screenshot. Then run Microsoft Store to update the Realtek Audio Console.
